General Job Description
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine and complex maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment failures, and ensuring that all systems and machinery are functioning optimally. This position involves preventive maintenance, repair, and occasional installation of new equipment. The Maintenance Specialist ensures that operations continue efficiently and that all safety protocols are followed. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, optimize processes, and maintaining safety and facility efficiency.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
•Identify and repair or replace faulty components before failure occurs.
•Document all maintenance activities and maintain records.
•Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production and facility equipment.
•Repair malfunctioning equipment to minimize downtime.
•Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex breakdowns.
•Assist in installing new equipment and machinery as needed.
•Ensure all equipment is installed according to manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols
•Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
•Conduct maintenance work in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and company policies.
•Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
•Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
•Report maintenance issues to the appropriate team members and management.
•Work with engineers, technicians, and other personnel to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
•Provide recommendations on improving the reliability of equipment.
•Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services and monitor the quality of work performed by third-party service providers.
•Generate reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and other key metrics.
•Communicate regularly with maintenance manager to provide updates on condition of equipment, machinery, and building systems.
Minimum Qualifications or Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field is a plus.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as hands-on experience with equipment repairs.
•Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely solutions
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
•Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
•Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
•Ability to plan and coordinate many projects simultaneously.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office.
•Must be willing to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
•1~3 years’ experience on maintenance management.
•Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
or similar are preferred.
•Understanding of OSHA Standards, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
•Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and reporting.
•Experience managing capital projects, budget preparation, and cost control
•Proven track record of managing large-scale maintenance projects and leading diverse teams.
